FLOAT ALONG FESTIVAL
Float Along Festival is Sheffield’s premier inner-city multi-venue festival, returning on Saturday 26th September 2026 for its fifth year. Float Along transforms the city centre into a vibrant hub for post-punk, psychedelic rock, and indie talent.
Headlining this year's festival is White Lies, whose anthemic, atmospheric sound has made them one of Britain’s most enduring indie acts. With a catalogue spanning more than a decade, their addition marks a landmark moment for the festival’s 2026 edition. They are joined by blistering Dublin-based band Sprints, the ever-eccentric Opus Kink, who fuse theatrical flair with wiry, off-kilter grooves, and Man/Woman/Chainsaw, fast-emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming bands on the scene today. Also announced are Your Mate’s Ex, Oslo Twins, Spanish Horses, Maximilian Tanner, and Faint Paint, with many more still to come.
Spanning iconic venues and new venues alike, the festival offers a seamless experience with live performances from 12pm to 11pm (14+), followed by DJ sets until 2am (18+). Past editions have featured acclaimed acts such as English Teacher, Shame, Pigsx7, Everything Everything, Antony Szmierek, The Murder Capital & Warmduscher, alongside insightful talks with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq.
Beyond showcasing emerging and established talent, Float Along champions Sheffield’s grassroots venues, providing vital support to the local music scene. Float Along is a must-attend event for music lovers seeking an immersive festival experience in the heart of one of the UK’s most dynamic cities.
